A-1 Self Storage, the premier provider of self storage in California, announced today their monetary donation to the Cristo Rey Networks “Expanding the Vision” plan. Cristo Rey Network has been changing the lives of urban students for the past 10 years by providing college prep education within an educational model that includes students participating in their own tuition costs. The CRN model is unique in that students participate in a student work program, gaining invaluable professional skills and building anticipation for their college experience. Remarkably, CRN educates 7,400 students nationally, supports 25 schools, located in 24 cities all of whom have 96% minority enrollment. 100% of CRN graduates are accepted into 2 or 4 year college programs. The “Expanding the Vision” plan’s goal is to open a new school by Fall 2013 and review 25 more potential sites for CRN schools to open in the near future.
