If there’s one thing to be said about Access Self Storage and Bienvenidos Restaurant, it’s that they know how to throw a party! And when communities in Red Oak and Lancaster get together for some fun, their children reap the benefits.

Three years ago, with the first summer Fiesta Fundraiser (then called the Boot Scootin’ Benefit), Access brought customers, employees, and friends together to raise money for area education. This year, the event has grown beyond a single party at a single location, and even more students will see the rewards.

Fiesta-ers had their pick of events, both held at Bienvenidos restaurant, one on June 7th and one on June 21st. In addition to a delicious dinner provided by Bienvenidos, attendees enjoyed a cake walk, authentic Mexican music, silent auction items, and a live auction hosted by Walt Cade of A&E’s “Storage Wars: Texas.”

Both evenings were a raging success, each bringing in over $4000 for a grand total of $8700. Proceeds will be donated to the Lancaster Education Foundation, the Lancaster Outreach Center, the Red Oak Education Foundation, and the Ellis County Outreach Center.

Planning for next year’s fiesta fundraisers begins today and promises to bring events that will continue to grow for years to come.
