The six-story, 150,000 square-foot property, located at 2412 W. Leading up to the event, the company partnered with the Shriners Hospitals for Children to raise awareness and funds for the hospital. Amazing Spaces gave 10% of gross sales to the hospital for the first 30 days the location was open. The final amount totaled $1,660. For the last four years, Amazing Spaces has been raising funds for their sister hospital in Galveston through a partnership with the Texas Self Storage Associations “Starfish Campaign.” “It just made perfect sense to partner again with the Shriners Hospital, because the charity has been a part of our philanthropy project for the last four years,” said Kathy Tautenhahn VP, of Amazing Spaces. “Many of our team members recently went on a tour of the hospital to see how our donation would be used. The Shriners’ mission is twofold: to care for children regardless of ability to pay and to give back to the community by training orthopedic surgeons across the nation. The tour was very inspiring to all team members.” During the Amazing Spaces grand opening event, over 100 attendees from the community and local businesses enjoyed food, wine and the chance to win several door prizes.
