At the event, guests in attendance enjoyed fine wine and food. The momentous occasion culminated with a “Storage Wars” themed benefit auction called by Walt Cade from A&E’s “Storage Wars Texas”. Fundraising efforts also included donations from partners of Amazing Spaces and included raffle ticket sales from which four names were drawn to receive free storage for a year. All auction proceeds, event sponsorships, and raffle ticket sales went to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Houston. Amazing Spaces raised a total $33,586.00 for the hospital.
Leading up to the event, Amazing Spaces, reached out to their network requesting donated items to include in the auction. Due to the good will of Amazing Spaces’ network, items such as a week’s stay in St. Thomas Virgin Islands, tickets to the Houston Symphony, a football autographed by Earl Campbell, shopping and dining gift cards, and much more were generously donated to the benefit auction. Over 125 guests attended the party to celebrate with Amazing Spaces and to experience the uniquely styled live fundraiser auction.
Since 2008, Amazing Spaces has held an annual fundraiser for the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Galveston. This is also their second consecutive year to donate funds to the hospital’s Houston location. Amazing Spaces has raised a grand total of $37,539.50 to date for the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Galveston and Houston. “Each year we are thrilled to be able to support such a great organization. We continue to be impressed by the mission statement of the hospital which includes accepting patients regardless of their ability to pay. This is the kind of selfless attitude that we want to support especially when it benefits the quality of life for children,” says Kathy Tautenhahn, Vice President of Amazing Spaces.
