Big Box Storage, Inc., based in San Diego, CA, is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Charity Storage, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, to raise funds on an ongoing basis for three different charities through self-storage auctions.

Under the terms of the partnership, Big Box Storage has devoted a storage unit within their San Diego storage facilities to be used exclusively as a collection point for donated goods. Existing storage renters, visitors to the storage facility, San Diego residents and businesses, and others, can then donate items to the charity storage unit by dropping the item(s) off at the Big Box Storage facility as located at 7077 Consolidated Way, San Diego, CA 92121 while also receiving a tax-deductible receipt. Donated goods are then sold via auction at the time of the company’s next quarterly auction sale. 100% of the funds generated from the sale of the donated goods are then distributed across three different non-profit organizations: RePets Animal Rescue, Kure It Cancer Research, and the National Self Storage Scholarship Foundation.

About the charities:

• RePets Animal Rescue – a non-profit organization devoted to reducing the over-population of homeless animals through spaying, neutering and adoption. 60% of all auction proceeds are donated to RePets. For additional information, please visit RePets Animal Rescue.

• Kure It Cancer Research – a charitable organization committed to finding a cure for kidney and other underfunded cancers.
