The Crestwood, MO Board of Aldermen on Sept. 25 approved site plans for one new business in Crestwood and expansion of an existing business. The board voted unanimously in favor of plans for EZ Storage at 9900 Big Bend Blvd. Great Northern Consulting Group of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Nolan Realty Investments LLC of Fort Worth, plan to build a four-story self-storage facility on a vacant lot on Big Bend Boulevard near Camera Avenue next to a Mobil on the Run station. The 60,000-square-foot building will include internal parking and drive lanes and a resident manager’s quarters. The board approved a variance allowing the building to stand at 48 feet tall, higher then the 45 feet limit in the zoning code. Office hours would be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, but tenants would have access to their storage units from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. Most customers bring their storage property in cars, pick-up trucks or small rental vans, said Bill Bowman of Great Northern. EZ Storage would have controlled access for tenants, with each unit having individual alarm systems. Tenants would each have a separate access code to the facility. There would be five parking spaces outside the building for visitors, but tenant parking for loading and unloading would be inside, said Bill Bowman of Great Northern Consulting Group. The board approved separate motions for the site plan overall, the height variance and adjustment of the opening hours to 7 a.m. from the code’s 8 a.m. limitation. (via southcountytimes.com) ]]>
