Customer Spotlight: Mini Storage Depot – Maryville, TN

Mini Storage Depot in Maryville, TN is not your everyday, average self-storage property. During development, the team made sure to maximize their land and offer several features and benefits that would provide tenants exactly what they’re looking for. From boat and RV storage to a multistory climate controlled building, as well as drive-up storage, Mini Storage Depot was strategically constructed to meet customer demands and maximize revenue.

Building a Unique Solution to Accommodate More Self Storage Options

While they developed a well-defined goal from the start, building strategically was no small task for Mini Storage Depot. They had a falling lot that minimized their options for self-storage construction. Thankfully, with a dedicated team of experts, they found an all-encompassing solution to utilize their land to its fullest potential.

There is more to this site than what meets the eye – from the road, this Mini Storage Depot appears as just a single-story self-storage facility; however, due to the grade of the property, the project was able to consist of a main multi-story climate controlled self storage building loaded with curb appeal.

Because of the fall of the land, Mini Storage Depot was even able to accommodate two additional buildings of drive-up storage units, offering up a huge perk for tenants who don’t want to haul heavy items through an entire interior facility. The use of a multi-story building as well as drive up units and boat and RV storage allowed Mini Storage Depot to navigate their land and make the most out of a tricky lot.

The Skillfully Designed and Artfully Constructed Result

BETCO Inc. was one of the major subcontract suppliers for the project and helped the facility navigate the ins-and-outs of their construction. They supplied the two additional buildings consisting of drive-up units as well as the multistory building structure which included metal exterior façade, metal standing seam roof and a white door and hallway system for a bright and clean feel. Additionally, they utilized BETCO’s load bearing stud wall construction for the building and structural standing seam roof panel system.

Facility Features Include:

  • Climate Controlled Units

Despite its initial hurdles, Mini Storage Depot’s site was completed on schedule and their 69,000+ square feet of rentable storage space, consisting of 491 units, remains an inviting addition to their surrounding landscape.
