Independent Operator Welcomes 236 New Tenants thru Self-Service Technology

OpenTech Alliance, Inc. today announced that in 2012, North Reading Storage, a 400 unit self storage facility located in Reading Pennsylvania (population 88,000), has exceeded 236 new move-ins exclusively through their self serve kiosk while managers were busy or away from the office. Based on the average rental rate of $84, with a typical stay of 11 months, North Reading generated approximately $218,000 in revenue through self service automation alone. The onsite INSOMNIAC kiosk also collected an average of 90 transactions monthly in cash, check & credit card payments, totaling over $90,000 in revenue. New tenant merchandise purchases through the kiosk dispersed 158 locks upon move-in for $1,580.
