LANSING, MI, October 6, 2015 – Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate investment services firm with offices throughout the United States and Canada, today announced the sale of A-1 Economy Storage, a 29,670-square foot self-storage located in Lansing, MI, according to Steven Chaben, regional manager of the firm’s Detroit office.

Tom Berlin, a self storage investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap’s Detroit office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a charitable trust. The buyer, a limited liability company, was secured and represented by Dan Burkons, an investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap’s Cleveland office.

A-1 Economy Storage is located at 2715 N. Grand River Avenue in Lansing, MI. The facility has 191 drive-up storage units and 77 outdoor storage spaces with unit sizes ranging from 25 square feet to 600 square feet. There is an extra height building for boat and large RV storage. The facility is fully fenced, has a key pad controlled entry/exit gate system and has room for expansion. The on-site rental office was constructed in 2011 and features a 24 hour access rental and payment kiosk.
