Howard Hanson Will be Missed in AZSA Circles The Arizona self-storage community bids its final farewell to Howard Hanson, a founding board member of the association. He passed away on June 7 from complications of heart disease. A Memorial Service was held at the Franciscan Renewal Center at 10 a.m. on June 13. Howard is fondly remembered by AZSA board members. “Howard was among those who comprised the group of owners who, in 1990, met in a small meeting room off one of the lower level parking garages in the Esplanade Office building. I appreciate the donation of his time and enthusiasm, which were invaluable in getting our association off the ground. He will be missed,” said board member Bill Alter. Many board members, who remember Howard as very supportive of the association and always welcoming and kind, expressed similar sentiments. AZSA member Reg Cooper of the Cooper Companies esteems Howard for his optimism and wonderful laugh, remembering him as a mentor who taught him, “Price is what you pay, value is what you get.” Howard died at the age of 75, and was able to celebrate his daughter’s wedding just last month. The Arizona Self-Storage Association will remember him fondly. See more at:
