A clerk at a Metro Self Storage, on 701 Villa Drive, was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday morning. The armed robber got away with the worker’s purse.

The crime occurred around 11 a.m. at the business near Baldwin and Leopard. A man entered the business’s main office, showed a gun and demanded the clerk’s purse.

“He raised his shirt tail, had a handgun stuck in his pants waist,” said Lt. Chris McClure of the Corpus Christi Police Department.

The clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 20 years old with curly red hair. Police described his getaway vehicle as a white four-door sport utility vehicle.
