Improvements to the interior of the facility focused on structural changes in the office and entrance areas. The office was enlarged and redesigned to increase space for storage rental transactions and packing supplies shopping. New restrooms were installed on the main floor with updated fixtures and tiles. To attract additional customers and add convenient access, a large, glass front door was installed, which replaces the previous smaller entryway. In addition, the entire location has been converted to climate-controlled storage.
Renovations made to the self storage facility exterior create a large impact on the building and the street. Bright new paint makes the property stand out, and new lighting illuminates the nearly 100-year-old building’s architectural features. New signs have been posted throughout the location in Storage Post’s bold green and bright yellow brand colors, creating a fresh look.
“This is a key Storage Post facility, especially with its positioning and location. With a taller building, we knew we had to make the paint color and signs pop. Looking at the before pictures, we believe that the new color palette has dramatically changed the store,” commented Bill Marsh , Storage Post vice president of real estate. “We also worked with the existing architecture, which led to us using the amazing built-in archway for the front door.”
The New Rochelle location also features 24-hour video recording, large indoor loading bays, affordable rental parking and secure coded entrance points.
Storage Post is pursuing an aggressive renovation schedule for its properties nationwide, beginning in 2012 and continuing through 2013. The company expects increased inquiries and consumer interest due to the improvements, and anticipates occupancy growth.
