“We realize that nowadays, people are required to remember innumerable codes and passwords,” says Andrea Carnes, Vice President of Operations for The Lock Up Self Storage. “So, to help our customers, we had an app created that centralized all of the important aspects of their Lock Up Self Storage information. Gone are the days of rifling through papers to find the gate code or the number of your self storage unit. Now, tenants will have all of that information at their fingertips, in their mobile devices. It’s especially helpful for those unplanned trips to a Lock Up unit.”
With an easy to read and navigate interface, the new app will ensure that Lock Up tenants in any of the twenty-nine nationwide facilities will always have their information on hand. Simply choose the Lock Up facility, plug in the gate code to that location, and which units have been rented from that location. The “tap to call” feature is particularly handy for tenants who are out on the road and need information such as hours of operation, or directions to help guide them to the facility.

About The Lock Up Self Storage
Lock Up Development Group (an affiliate of BRB Development, LLC) is a family owned and operated company that has been in the self storage business since 1976. Continuing to be one of the most active and well-respected private companies in the storage industry, The Lock Up was started by Robert Soudan Sr. and Charles Sample Sr. who built their first self storage facility in Glenview, Illinois. With the help of his son and son-in-law, Bob Soudan Jr. and Rick Hielscher, Mr. Soudan has significantly increased both the number and quality of his self storage facilities. Currently, The Lock Up operates storage centers in eight states. We own and manage over 1.6 million square feet of self storage. Additionally, we have recently partnered with a large pension fund that controls tens of billions of dollars. For more information, please visit: https://www.thelockup.com/
