The last time I was really hungry was my third day into a keto diet. Most of us who work in self-storage (whether managers, district managers, or owners) have a good job, and we have food. Not everybody in the world has options of what to eat or even when they’re going to have a meal. Not everybody gets more than one meal in a day. But for most of us in storage, we get three, a couple snacks, and maybe a shake in between.
On March 8 in New Orleans, La., at the Spring Self Storage Association Conference, a group of 225 storage owners, managers, and vendors joined together to help raise money that went to several different charities, one of which was Mission Feeding. That night we raised over $200,000, and part of the money was earmarked to feed 250,000 kids. StorageGives has partnered with Mission Feeding for three years now, and you, the self-storage industry, facilities, associations, vendors, and owners have partnered in an effort that has generated over 1 million meals and counting.
