Police were called to the scene of a self-storage facility in West Warwick, Rhode Island this past Friday for what turned out to be a false alarm.
The facility and surrounding area, including a daycare, were evacuated out of caution. Police blocked off the roadway and called in the state bomb squad, who determined the mines were inert. "There was never any danger to the public," said officials. The scene was cleared about an hour later.
