RecNation Launches Third-Party Management Platform
RecNation Storage, which acquires, develops and operates boat- and RV-storage facilities nationwide, has launched RecExec, a third-party management platform targeted to other property owners and developers. It also announced the start of RecResale, which will allow storage customers to sell their RVs through consignment, according to a press release.
“Launching a professionally managed third-party business is a tremendous achievement and highlights the strength and sophistication of our operating platform, which allows us to efficiently manage these properties in a highly automated and centralized way,” said Gary Wojtaszek, chief camper and founder. “Every publicly traded self-storage REIT [real estate investment trust] has a third-party management company [that] greatly complements and enhances their primary real estate investments by strengthening their market-leading positions. We intend to do the same in boat and RV storage.”
The consignment program is designed to complement the company’s RecRental initiative, which allows storage customers to offer their RVs for rent. “This is just another example of the enhanced customer value we offer our storage customers and reinforces why they choose us for their RV-storage solution,” Wojtaszek said.
Launched in 2020, RecNation operates 54 boat/RV-storage sites in Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas. The company has partnered with investment-management firms Centerbridge Partners LP and WOJO Capital Partners LLC to accelerate its expansion nationwide, the release stated.
