Central States Launches Sentry Doors and Hallway Systems
Central States Manufacturing has announced a product line of roll-up doors and hallway systems. The Central States Sentry™ roll-up doors and hallway systems for self-storage applications are now in full production and available anywhere Central States products are sold, including Metal Central retail locations, as part of Building Works complete metal building systems and self-storage building packages, and as an addition to Elevate Structures' offering.
"As a developer, we did not want to get stuck with the 'old standard.' We knew there was something better available," Brad Simmons, owners of Storage Center+ in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky said. "We love the new Sentry 6500 door design – heavier gauge material, a better spring system, and a new design built for the win. These 6500 doors operate noticeably smoother than our other properties' doors – they are quieter and feel better. We feel good about the Sentry product – it was the right decision for our Phase 1, and we have Sentry doors and hallways spec'd for our next five buildings in the design stage now."
In a press release, Central States highlighted the following attributes:
- Strong: The high-carbon pre-galvanized steel alloy springs are pre-coated and adhere to ASTM 228 standards, which outperform traditional oil-tempered springs in fatigue, shear, and tensile strength tests. The springs do not require greasing. The superior 26-gauge, double-seamed curtain is durable and more resistant to environmental damage.
- Easy Installation: The slotted system does not require bolts to affix the door to the guide. The bracket and latch attach to the door, and the hardware is packed by unit and does not require counting hardware on the job site. Same-sized fasteners require fewer tools, which makes installation hassle-free.
- Easy Match Colors: The standard 32-color options include perfect matches of popular industry colors and are backed by a 40-year film integrity warranty. The stainless-steel latches accept all commercial key locks and padlocks, with a punch pattern that integrates with various Bluetooth® latches in the market.
- Flexible Design: Ranging up to 10' in height and width to 10', the doors can be customized for various openings. The hallway system is engineered to customers' unique specifications, ranging from corrugated to flush, and can be used for new buildings and conversions of existing structures to self-storage use.
- Lightweight and Durable: An aluminum-extruded bottom bar with bulb astragal avoids rust, extending the door's life while providing a lighter touch.
"We are thrilled to introduce our new line of doors and hallways designed specifically for storage solutions," Central States Manufacturing President Tim Ruger said. "The Sentry family of products represents our ongoing commitment to innovation and quality, ensuring our customers have access to the best products for their needs."
