The Colorado Springs Fire Department was called to a SecurCare Self Storage on 2415 North Nevada Avenue around 3 a.m. Monday morning. Upon arriving, crews discovered smoke pouring out of the roof and four units on fire.
Firefighters used tools to open up eight storage units to ensure the flames hadn’t spread further. Officials say they’re still investigating what started the fire, but they don’t believe anyone was squatting in any of the units. They have not yet ruled out arson.
No injuries were reported.
