Paws & Relax Event at SSA conference raises $4K
At the SSA’s 2023 Fall Conference and Trade Show in Las Vegas, a Paws & Relax event that offered pet therapy sessions and a relaxation area to attendees raised $4,000 for Michael’s Angel Paws.
Through the event, self-storage professionals were able to unwind with massages and the companionship of dogs while hydrating and learning about Charity Storage and Michael’s Angel Paws, a Nevada-based nonprofit organization that helps individuals achieve independence with the assistance of fully trained service dogs.
Paws & Relax was sponsored by the Self Storage Association, OpenTech Alliance, Kings III, Storable, Charity Storage, Miller Buildings, Inc., and Heartland Building Group.
“We were thrilled to see so many self-storage professionals stop by the Paws & Relax booth at this year’s SSA Conference and Trade Show,” says Robert Chiti, CEO of OpenTech Alliance and Chairman of the Charity Storage Board of Directors. “The success of this event highlights the continued commitment and collective efforts of the Self Storage Association and the organizations that make up the industry to making our communities better. We will always look for ways to partner with and sponsor like-minded charitable organizations, like Michael’s Angel Paws, at future SSA events.”
