$3,800 in jewelry was stolen from a woman's storage unit at Salina Mini Storage in Salina, KS this week. The woman reported the burglarly after returning to her unit and finding her jewelry box – containing a graduation ring, a wedding band, and two sterling silver crosses – missing.

"[The officers] observed on video a four-door, dark-colored sedan," Feldman said. "What appeared to be a male subject wearing a green hoodie and blue jeans. [He] appears to be slim to a skinny-statured white male."

Officers have yet to identify a suspect in the burglary but continue investigating the crime. Further, they did not divulge how the suspect broke into the unit.

Last year, an employee at Salina Mini Storage helped catch a crook. While on duty, the employee noticed a male individual lurking on the premises and managed to capture a photo of him. Later, when the employee discovered multiple vehicles had been tampered with and items were missing – including license plates, paperwork, and a key – police were contacted.

Based on the photo the employee had, police were able to identify the thief as 62-year-old Robert Ford. Officers located and arrested Ford, recovering some of the stolen items from him.
