Police Seek Suspect In CubeSmart Burglary
Police are asking the public for help in tracking down the suspect in a recent CubeSmart burglary. The facility is located at 578 Whitehall St SW in Atlanta.
The chicken wire roof on one woman's unit was cut through, and the majority of her belongings, totaling about $15,000, were stolen. "Childhood memories, artifacts, I just noticed my high school diploma is gone, old albums I collected all gone," said the victim. She noted that the thief also took her shoes, many of which came from a shoe store she used to own.
"I just want to catch whoever did it. I may not get my stuff back. I've been searching the second hand shops' 'buy, sell, trade' here, seeing if they come through, but nothing," Williams said. "So, if I could just catch the person, that would put me at ease."
Officers began investigating the burglary after the store’s management looked through surveillance footage and discovered video of a man entering the store and taking several items, investigators said. The Atlanta Police Department is asking anyone with information about the man to contact them at 404-658-6666.
