In Lebanon, Ore., a 60-year-old woman is facing financial crime charges after allegedly stealing more than $53,000 from a Highway 20 Mini Storage over a nearly two-year period.
The Linn County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rosemarie T. Hill, who had been the manager of the self-storage facility for about a decade and lives in a residence at the business, for two counts of Aggravated Theft in the First Degree, two counts of Theft in the First Degree, Forgery in the First Degree, and one count of a Computer Crime.
The owners of Highway 20 Mini Storage reported the theft, which occurred between April 2022 and March 2024, this spring.
Investigators served a search warrant at Highway 20 Mini Storage and seized financial records. After examining the financial records from the business and comparing them with records from the bank, investigators determined that Hill had altered customer payments and deposit receipts using the business’ computer.
Hill allegedly spent the money on personal expenses and gambling.
