Stacie Maxwell Joins On The Move After 23 Years with Universal Storage Group
On The Move, a leader in branded moving trucks and tenant protection and property casualty insurance for self-storage operators nationwide, has announced that industry veteran Stacie Maxwell will be joining the company as the new Director of Insurance. Maxwell leaves behind a remarkable 23-year tenure with Universal Storage Group (USG), which offers third-party management, consulting, training, and feasibility studies to the self storage industry.
At USG, Maxwell served as vice president of marketing and training, playing an instrumental role in the company's growth and success. During her time there, Maxwell's contributions were pivotal in the company achieving 13 Modern Storage Media Facility of the Year awards and 11 Inside Self Storage Best of Business awards. Notably, USG garnered 9 Best of Business awards for Best Manager Training under Stacie's leadership, highlighting her expertise in training and development. Her responsibilities at USG also included overseeing the marketing of the company and a portfolio of over 70 self-storage facilities, as well as manager training for USG’s 100+ employees.
“We wish Stacie the best of luck and appreciate all she has done to help USG grow and become an industry leader,” says AJ Ross, CEO of Universal. "Strategically, it fits well within our goal of continuing to evolve our marketing strategy and improve our Marketing & Training Programs. Sharon Pallas remains Director of Training and will cover all of those responsibilities.”
At On The Move, Stacie will be responsible for providing marketing and training programs for the agency, helping to further market On The Move and its services. Commenting on her new role, Stacie said, "This transition has rejuvenated my love for the self-storage industry, and I am excited to dig in and help the On The Move Insurance Agency reach new heights with their SecureLease program."
CJ Stratte, CEO of On The Move, expressed her enthusiasm about Stacie's arrival, stating, "Stacie is a highly respected individual in the storage industry and will bring great value to SecureLease. She is in line with my vision for the agency and its growth!"
In addition to her new responsibilities, Stacie will continue to attend industry tradeshows, be a featured speaker at meetings and conferences, and contribute to industry publications—activities she is deeply passionate about, along with her role on the advisory board of the Self-Storage Association Women’s Council, where she provides guidance and support to her colleagues in the industry.
